Origins Martial Arts was founded by Professor TJ Sulit. A lifelong martial artist with over 32 years of competing and 22 years of coaching. He started Judo at 11 years old and eventually earned a 3rd degree black belt in this revered Japanese martial art. TJ added Brazilian JiuJitsu (BJJ) to his arsenal after seeing how it complemented Judo as well aswitnessing its effectiveness in the UFC and MMA scenes. He was awarded his Brazilian Jiulitsu black belt in October of 2016 by Professor Nicolas Gregoriades. He was awarded his 2nd degree blackbelt in December of 2022 by Professor Brent Burniston of Subconscious BJ.
Aside from being an athlete and professor, Coach TJ is active as an international Jiulitsu referee, being the first Filipino to referee in the JiuJitsu International Federation World Championships. He is also a Level 2 Precision Nutrition Coach.
